On Monday April 27 there will be a Peace Jam and Ecology Club assembly to help you 'Hear The Echo'... MARCH MONTHLY MEETINGOur monthly meeting will be on March 18. We will be learning how to make a plastic bag out of plastic bags. You have a work sheet of what you need to bring for this meeting.
Lots of Plastic Bags and crochet hooks and scissors. The meeting will be at 2:45pm in room 102. February Monthly Meeting Our regular monthly meeting for justice and peace is during our February vacation. Because of this conflict we will meet the following Wednesday February 25. Please come prepared with a written update to submit what you have done so far with your action plan. This submission is in exchange for your work sheet for our next monthly meeting on March 18.
OCTOBER Monthly Mtg SWITCHOur October monthly meeting is switched from Wednesday October 15 to Thursday October 16 due to PSAT AND PLAN TESTING with a dismissal at 11:30am. We will be making sandwiches for the St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen in Middletown. Each grade level will be assigned what items to bring in for the sandwich making. All BREAD needs to come in last if not that very day. Try to ask your local merchants to donate food items for this most important work - feeding the hungry! WORLD HUNGER DAY is OCTOBER 16!!
ALSO, the same day (9/16) at Russell Library in Middletown at 6:30pm to 8:00pm we will learn how to make a bag out of the plastic bags that are not good for the landfills because they take so long to biodegrade. I will be giving service ours for this work since we can teach others and begin to sell the bags while we educate and make people aware of the importance of caring for the environment. MONTHLY MEETING 9/17/08Justice and Peace monthly meeting will be this coming Wednesday (9/17) in the Cafeteria at 2:45pm. Please come with a viable idea to promote justice or to promote peace or both. Please be prepared to explain in detail your action plan. Plan to stay to the end!
